Neat isn't it, and the price doesn't seem out of the way.

Some old houses are protected by being listed. I think this idea could be applied to cars like this one... unless, of course, we think it would be a good idea to turn it into a hot rod.

Back in the 1970s I worked for David Cobb. He had been a successful stock car racer and his vehicle of choice was the Ford Pilot. They were a very tough old car but that strength also contributed to their demise.

Another problem for British motorists was that they were pretty thirsty. I imagine there can't be that many survivors.

There appears to be a stream of rusty water oozing out of one rearmost spark plug holes - head gasket? cracked head?

Could what appears to be rusty water on the plug, actually be brake fluid leaking out of what looks like a very messy reservoir?

Its weird being the same age as old people.
You are either part of the problem or part of the solution

As it is a V8 the head is sloping so the water is running down it. I would suspect a head gasket...

For a non runner it's all of it's money I would have thought?

The seller's name is "slippery". That alone would make me nervous! Razz

I hadn't noticed that it was the same seller, the Dodge has been advertised for quite a while. The thought of a truck that size and ready to go has crossed my mind a few times lately.

Personally I think the Dodge looks pretty good, you dont see many of these British built ones about either.

True, I wonder what the parts situation is like? I'm more wary nowadays of opting for something that parts are hard to find for, I've been there before ...

I have a few friends who own this type of Dodge, one very local to us has just finished a full restoration.

I think much like other trucks of this era parts are scarce but still findable.
