Hi
My son-in-law has a need for either a mains to transformer to radio function, or a battery function for his workshop radio; but he also wants to be able to charge up the battery when mains is available.
Can any of you suggest minimum switch types and operations to suit this set up.
i.e. On/Off/On swithches or just normal On/Off and where best placed. He would probably be trying to get the Transformer, Charger, battery and Radio into one Box.

Perhaps I'm not understanding but if you are using a smart charger why not just leave the charger permanently connected to the mains and battery, and leave the radio permanently connected to the battery and forget about the transformer? I assume the radio has its own on/off switch.
