Hi All.
Has anyone on here heard of a company named GASCO, apparently a motor factor from the 30s making engine parts?
I have found a NOS set of six valves, identical dimensions to those from my Armstrong Siddeley Fifteen side valve engine. They are stamped on the face with GASCO 522.
I'm hoping someone might have a cross reference or a GASCO catalogue as more are needed (they're closely similar to the inlets) or to find any other reference lists of valve parts for Engines in years 30s.
Any help I would be most grateful for

Ooh, that's a bit of a disappointment lads, 44 readers and not one response?

Has no one got a Tranco valve catalogue I could look up some valves in?

I'm looking to find any model of engine using valves in close region to these dimensions:
Stem size 5/16 (8.0mm)
Head size 1 3/8" (34.5 mm)
Length 5 3/8" (136.4mm).
Head type Flat, slotted.
Stem style single parallel groove.

These are exact size of the set of six believed to be inlets on my ancient and rare Siddeley 15 engine. The Exhausts are a fraction smaller in Length (about 2.5mm shorter) so 134.5 mm long but same Head and Stem dimensions.
Help please.

I have a 1954 Tranco catalogue that covers, Valves, Guides, & Springs.

I've been trying to find a copy or pdf online. There seems to be no reference.
Does it list by valve dimensions?
Or is it just by make/model?
I don't suppose a 1933 Armstrong Siddeley 15 Long would be in lists as rare and there's at least three versions of engine, but I'm seeking a reference number for the one described above.

Looks as if its a Tranco 922

Unfortunately it doesn't cross ref vehicles by valve number, but I'll have a look through tonight to see if the valve was fitted to anything else.

From a Brown Brothers 1939 catalogue, lists the "James" part number as 1055.

Thank you Dave. I must try to find a copy of that publication.
It's interesting to note that the first AS15's listed in James was 1928-32 which mine is. However the Tranco is 1933-35.
This was a period of great confusion it seems as according to scant information in club archives there were iumpteen "batch" alterations and very few seem to be similar. My engine falls into the group for which there appears to be absolutely no record at all.
It's almost inevitable that this engine has been torn apart several times before, so what's in it now may not be right, although "doing the job".
I'm just trying to collate as much evidence as I can to narrow the possibilities down.
From what I have learned so far, it seems originaly it was built with identical inlet and exhausts but two engines have been stripped and found with the same inlets and slightly shorter exhausts. My engine builder reckons the exhausts may have been possibly made from something else?
I anticipate 'PG' Represents parallel groove, on the Tranco list?
I suppose it makes sense that inlets are longer as incoming volume to cylinder would be greater than outgoing volume of burnt mixture, so I reckon at least they are right way round. This does seem to be a pattern in many engines.
As they say, "every days a schoolday" and there's still much to learn.

Yes PG is Parallel Grove, I couldn't see anything else that used the same valves, I would think your best bet would be to get a valve, same diameter, same stem width, with a longer stem length so that it could be machined to size?
