This looks nice. One more reason why I am kicking myself for getting the MG TC. For what it has cost me so far and still nowhere near finished I could have had this. Sad

Not a fan of that Lagonda saloon. There's something off. Wheels look too small, head lamps too big, bonnet too long.

You'd have to be a diligent record keeper to know the total mileage, it appears to have a 4 digit odometer so a recalculation after every 9,999 miles

I think the front wings let it down.

I bought my current 2CV in April 2002 with 71,000 miles on the clock. In the last 20 years I've taken it round the clock twice. It's now on 274,000. with the barrels and pistons replaced at exactly 249,900 miles. Having said that, it did just 1,300 miles between the last two MOTs. I intend to use it a bit more between now and the next MOT in September.

I only did 300 miles in the last 12 months! Shocked

Since my little two-seater Morris Minor returned to the road, just before Christmas 2020, I've managed to do around 7,500 miles. Back in June I pootled my way from Worcester to Norfolk, 185 miles, in around 9hrs. That was keeping off dual-carriageways wherever possible, with just one 2-mile section on the Tingewick by-pass. Over the long-weekend, Thursday to Monday, the little car did over 600-miles, trouble free. If I was in a rush, I know I could have easily knocked quite a few hours off the journey, but I was making regular stops at coffee shops and tea rooms. I did much more dual-carriageway driving on the way home, using the A11 and A505 from Thetford to Baldock.

When I lived in Shetland I used the 2CV once a year to visit family down in the Midlands. The best time I made from Aberdeen harbour to Worcester, 450 miles, was 7hrs 34mins. I never beat that in the modern, though I came close (7hrs 38mins) Laughing

I agree, the green car is better looking. That said, Brian Savill is very well known in Lagonda circles so I am sure his is a very good car.
