I'm writing a technical manual for the Riley RM Club, on behalf of owners of 1946-55 Rileys, and I'm battling with conflicting documents from when the cars were new. I need to make sense of some Girling part numbers from original documentation, to turn them into friction lining sizes and material.

Does anyone have access to contemporary Girling in-house documents?

The specific numbers, which describe brake shoes complete with linings, are:
GB34792, GB34806, GB41668.

I understand this is a long shot and the trail is very cold indeed, but any help would be appreciated.

It looks as if there was a change in rivet quantity for the same model, possibly why you are getting conflicting info?
