Curiously, I get a page declaring that I am forbidden from visiting any page on the C&C site whenever I try. I can only think that I transgressed somehow when emailing an advertiser the other day, I wonder if it'll be a permanent "ban" or something that will pass after a few days. Odd.

Dunno, I had a pleasant and courteous reply back from the person I contacted asking me to give him a call to arrange a visit to his place, but next day when I went onto the site to reply via the messaging system, I find myself blocked.

For background, I contacted the advertiser with an interesting collection of vehicles that has been on the market for months (maybe even a year), asking if I could pop over and do a video of his amazing haul of vehicles, ie an interesting subject for me to cover, and help him spread the word about his collection and his C&C advert.

This would appear to be out of order, I assume. If it is, it would have been nice to at least get an email from C&C explaining this, rather than leaving it to guesswork. You'd think that my offering to help promote their website and his advert would be a good thing. Hmmm.

My guess, Rick, is that C&C use an algorithm that doesn't like something in your message, but an email explaining why is well beyond its capability. I would put an extremely modest wager on there having been no human involvement at all!

I have now been "permitted" to post my link.

This is the Mark 6 Bentley which I posted about recently. Having followed it's restoration in an on line blog I felt I "knew" the car. The dealer was asking a whopping 55K but set a much lower reserve in the auction.

Previously, I had attempted to swap my Austin Swallow and unfinished MG TC restoration for this modified Bentley but was unsuccessful. Sad

Have you tried clearing your cache and biscuits (cookies) for the website? It might well be something as simple as that.

I wasn't able to contact them as I was barred from every page on the site, including the Contact page. Yes I did think to delete cookies but it would have affected other sites I visit so didn't want to do that. I just checked and it appears I'm off the naughty step and able to view the C&C site once more. All very odd.
