To be honest, due to low temperatures in the barn, the motivation is slightly reduced starting bigger projects.

So over the last weeks I MOT'd the daily driver and did some work on cars of friends of mine. For example recommissioning a GMC 3100 of 1953, standing for last 20 years. I also did some work inside the house. Unfortunately, beside the cars, my wife also wants so see some progress on the house

Today I found some time to work on my Mazda 323F. In January on the way to the MOT station, the heater matrix came apart and I lost all the coolant in the footwell.

To change the heater matrix you have to remove the complete dashboard and the heater matrix as well is no longer available.
So, to collect sufficient motivation it had to stand in nearly a comple year outside in front of a rented hangar.

When I tried to jump start it last week there was no chance to get it running, so I trailerd it to my barn.

After removing the dashboard, beside a faulty heater matrix, I also found the ECU located under the heater box. You make sure, that no water entered the ECU I decided to open it.... and jackpot... It was filled half an inch with coolant.

So now I have not only to find somebody who will fit a new net to my heater matrix, but also a new ECU.
