I've just noticed that applications for Audlem FoT have recently opened on the ASET website. I'm sure as previous exhibitors we used to get emailed whenever the booking form went live but lately this hasn't been the case.

"Off the rails" meeting at Crewe Heritage Centre tomorrow morning, I'll look at the weather and road conditions before I decide whether I'm going or not.

And again slightly out of the area, but display applications for Llangollen Classic Transport Weekend are open now.

I'm told there is a meeting at Chester Lakes as well.

The meeting at the Old Piggery Cafe on the Nantwich to Whitchurch road is on this coming Sunday, March 3rd. I would expect the Heritage Centre meeting will be on the Sunday after. I wonder if either of these will be my first trips out this year, or whether it'll still be too cold or wet or misty.

I didn't go to the Piggery this morning - the weather was decent if a little cold, but the roads still pretty wet from the rain yesterday.

There was a huge turnout including quite a few cars I'd not seen before, including a brace of WW1-era Sunbeams.

I think Crewe HC is next week (must check).

Oh, I wish I'd braved it now. The photos I've seen didn't make it look all that busy.

Crewe HC is on next week, March 10th. I'm not sure of the status of the bacon butties though - the kitchen was being refurbished last time I heard.

ETA - still being refurbished, no bacon butties this time.

Re Combermere yes there was a pretty big turnout overall, all spaces taken pretty much.

We'll try and get to Crewe, the Crewe toyfair is this Saturday coming up also at the HC although I can't make that one.

Last Sunday's damp Crewe gathering made it onto the following, as did the Standard to my surprise.

Anything happening this weekend coming up?

I don't know of anything local this weekend. Hopley House is on again on March 31st, and I've got a display spot at Oulton Park the day after for the British GT championship.

The Combermere meet (originally scheduled for yesterday but postponed due to rain) is set to be next Sunday, 14th - same day as the regular Crewe Heritage meet-up.

Is there anything local tomorrow for Drive It Day?

I believe there's a gathering at Chester Lakes, and one at Apedale, though I think registration was needed for the latter. I'm not planning on doing either. There's a gathering at Klondyke Mill, near Ashbourne, as well.

The Tuesday evening meetings at the Swetenham Arms start up on April 23rd, and there's a bi-weekly meeting at the Plough and Flail near Mobberley, I think the next one is Thursday April 25th, but I'm not certain.

Seems as if it might have been Sandbach Festival of Transport yesterday, as well.
