To be fair, I had the chance to sit behind the wheel of two 1970's Wolseley 2200s; one was even the same colour as the one I had.

I never thought I would do that again, as these "wedge" style cars - with their big transverse 6 pot engines - are almost extinct now. Yes, they did hail from the dismal BL era - and yes, they did indeed have poor build quality - but the way they glided effortlessly in near silence as you sat back in THE most comfortable seat somehow made up for it.

Isn't the Resto show usually 3 halls, and 5 halls for the biggie in November? Someone commented that the Friday seemed quieter than normal, I went Saturday and it got busy but perhaps not quite as busy as last year.
