Good that it didn't cause damage. I recall talking about timing belts to a Ford garage mechanic. He told me that the long wheelbase 190 Transits had a non interference engine and because of that the cam belt was sometimes "missed" at a high milage service. The more common short wheelbase vans had an interference engine so the belt got changed regardless.

You can probably guess how - as a driver of a 190 - I discovered that! Rolling Eyes

The excellent Oulton Park Gold Cup is the subject of this upload. Rather than all the track action I focus mainly on the classic car club displays, a fleet of fine double-decker buses, entries in the classic car auction area, and also a look around the fascinating paddock.

Today's video was fun to make, scouring northern France for exciting finds. We found stacks, from 2CVs and Amis to various Renaults (Juvaquatres, 4CV, 4s inc a Plein Air, 6, 5s etc), Peugeots (403 inc van, 504s, 301, 404 break), lorries military & civilian (inc a WW2 Dodge for sale at the side of a road), plus a car museum and a dealer in imported British classics from the USA. Also a number of project cars inc a rare Simca coupe.

We decided to "do" a car boot sale, ie sell rather than the usual buy, so the pickup was pressed into service again, this time with a very early start. Also in today's video, a spot of classic push lawnmower action.
