Evening, last weekend we ventured up to Lancashire, Heskin Hall to be precise, to sample the first of the 2025 classic meets to be held there. A wide pool of new-to-us vehicles turned up, so all in all, a very pleasant morning out.

Last week being half-term was quite a busy one - progress on the Pathfinder, accumulating some scrap for the local scrap metal man, admiring lots of cars at a regular morning meet, plus random Morris 1000 sighting. We also squeezed in a re-visit to Bentley at Pym's Lane, specifically the Mulliner division to look at various one-offs and several jaw-dropping continuation cars, but weren't able to film on this occasion, hopefully we'll do something there at a later date.

Budget motoring - 1950s style - in tonight's upload, as we spend an hour or so comparing the 803cc Standard 8 and the 748cc Renault 750. I may also wallow in '50s nostalgia via contemporary magazines and accessories that may have appealed to both cars' first owners "back in the day".

Morning all, today's upload uses old home movie footage, photographs, and a write-up provided by a friend of mine, documenting his 1991 mission of finding a "barn find" spec early Citroen 2CV in France then driving it nearly 1,000 miles back home - a car he owns to this day.
