The beauty of 2CV dampers is that all four are easy to change. You can replace them without even jacking the car up or taking a wheel off!

Brilliant design.

A friend of a friend bought the 1927 Star for his collection, so it went to a good home. I thought the 1930 Star might have sold for a bit more (?9950).

By 1930 the charm of many 'vintage' cars had been somewhat lost to modern developments in design.

The radiators/bonnets had been made much taller to improve cooling... and the bodies had become bigger and heavier at the expense of agility whilst previously light and delightfully responsive steering suffered as engines had been pushed further forward.

To me, the 1927 Star was totally exquisite so I am glad it has gone to a good home; I do hope it will be used on occasions rather than just sit gathering dust.

Evening all, this evening's upload sees us briveting around in the garage, talking shelving and a vintage Buda, then off in the 4CV to the Combermere car gathering. Lots of cars, including some rarities I'd not seen before including an amazing A40 Pickup, FIAT Dino Coupe, Bentley 4.5 and many many more.

Hi all, a definite highlight of the year yesterday as we went to visit a private collection of pre- and post-war cars and trucks heading to auction this weekend. Some amazing vehicles entered, including a Durant tourer, Albions, AEC tanker, 1950s Bedford lorry, cab-over Chevrolet, Ford V8 Pilot & 1934 V8 pickup, 1932 Diamond T and more.

Last weekend we popped down to a well-attended Malvern Festival of Transport, and that's the subject of this evening's upload.

Morning all, in today's upload I discuss a few ways of successfully choosing a restorer or garage to work on your car, then how to keep the rebuild on track until a successful conclusion. This based on my own projects and experiences of garages and resto companies over the years ...

Evening all, Tern Hill Hall in Salop held the first of their evening car meets recently and today's upload is of our visit. It was an excellent evening, no prizes for guessing perhaps the most exotic of the arrivals this time ...
