That was most considerate of him. Looks like your beloved SS Jaguar has found a good new home.

The new owner is the same age as me but has the advantage of running a garage business before he retired and his decades of professional experience is already making improvements to my imperfect rod brake adjustments. He is also no stranger to old cars including pre-war cars that he has owned.

I am delighted and am sure he will do the old girl proud.

That is good to hear.
When a car is sold I try not to keep up with the new owner because the outcome might not be as good as I wanted it to be.

The Hillman Minx 3C I sold a couple of years is an example. I thought the new owner was a good one but I saw it advertised only a year or so later in a slightly worse condition.

I do hope that won't happen with the SS. The photos of other cars that the new owner has or has had all looked in better condition than my car. So I'm hopeful.

Only just caught up with the post, but that's really good news to hear that the car has found a good, well suited owner.
