It is such a shame that high quality cars like the Alvis are just not financially viable projects. The upside, I suppose, is that so many parts are available through Red Triangle.

Yesterday we headed off to Herefordshire to check out the 200+ lots entered into the next Brightwells auction. Plenty of early metal to like in this one.

This weekend's upload sees me at a small gathering on the site of a former nuclear bunker, organised by the DKW club and open to anyone with a two-stroke engined car.

Classic Farinas, Trabant, Renault 4, and many more neat sightings in today's upload of a Swettenham Arms pub gathering earlier this year.

Extra video this week, in it a compilation of new clips featuring recent random sightings, from Bugatti drive-by to a lone Citroen van in a forest, and more besides.

FYI the recently-featured Alvis TA14 has found a new home (not me!).

Today's upload sees us back at Gawsworth Hall for the excellent Youngtimer event, lots to see in this one, mainly 1960s/70s and later.

In this weekend's upload we're at the Oswestry Vintage Show, where classic and vintage cars mix it with aged tractors, caravans, bicycles and military vehicles.

Two breakdowns in one week - Jaguar & MX-5 - didn't endear me much to either. In today's video I discuss the likely problem with the XJ - and how/why fixing it isn't looking entirely straightforward - then diagnosing and repairing the MX-5 and a weird fault I discovered.

Hi Rick. Would it be possible to fit an in line fuel pump to the Jag? ...or would the computer not allow it?

If you could get it running somehow ... then you could decide what to do with it. Very Happy

Not the fuel pump. it is however hard wired to a computer. An ECU operates a relay that turns the pump on and off ...so I don't think the pump could be easily bypassed.!

I don't know sorry, I did ponder whether a remote pump could be rigged up but I've not looked into it in any detail as yet.
