The sight and sound of a rebuilt gardner engine is wonderful. In the Pipneer it's exposed so you see everything working and to a petrol (in this case diesel) head like me it's beautiful. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

| I was at the American Auto Club UK Summer Nationals at Upton Upon Severn over the weekend. The show was held in conjunction with the Upton Blues Festival. Over the two days there must have been in excess of 300 American vehicles. Ranging in age from a 1920's De Soto roadster to an almost new Ford Mustang Dark Horse. In size from a little 2.4 litre Pontiac Solstice to a Mack truck with something like 15 Litres of diesel power |

We headed off to a local pub meet last night, chatting to the Marshall it's the most cars they'd ever had, 260 turned up and filled 3 fields.
Lovely to see so much variation, from Land Rovers to Jaguars, from Ford Consuls to Rover 2000s, literally something for everyone.
And also so nice to catch up with so many friends. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

| A nice soft top '70s Alfa Romeo, with top down, in Sainsbury's car park on Turs pm when I did my shopping. Too busy juggling with shopping bags in the stiff breeze to take a photo! |
