Like many of us I am not that good when it comes to electrics.
I fitted a new temp sensor which should switch an electric fan. It needs two wires.
On the sensor there is no difference between the spades, no markings.
Am I correct in thinking that when a certain temperature, or higher, has reached the sensor, it will bridge the two spades? So it does not matter how the spades are connected?
One always having 12v, the other one to the fan relay switching it on?
Thanks. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

That's how I would see it, yes. Presumably the switch is rated for a certain temperature, maybe the stampings on the side confirm that temperature. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |
