Acetone is usually seen as nail polish remover. Instead of buying it in little bottles, as nail polish remover, it can be bought in litre/ 5 litre bottles for bigger cleaning jobs. If you use it, use safety equipment, goggles, breathing mask and protective gloves. Dont let it get on your skin, and choose gloves carefully. It will dissolve a lot of plastics. |

Hi
Why would they put silicone in pannel wipe, I thought that was what you were trying to remove, or one of the things. I mean I got a good riveting once for spraying silicone spray for easing rusted parts in a paint boothe! hehe
Cheers

DERRRR!! It is anti silicone because it will get rid of it it if on the panel
Panel wipe with an silicone killer in it
Just so you know WD 40 does not and never has contained silicone just incase someone thought it did _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

I had a little trawl regarding this, and there is actually a product that CAN be confused with panel wipes that does contain silicone. Its used for polishing apparently.
So Greeney, you were really correct! |

Greeney looks chuffed
Also on this note when I sprayed my Jaguar I purchased a silicone additive to put in the paint as previously while renovating a Mk9 we had trouble with those annoying craters. It comes with a dropper and as it is a concentrated silicone it stops the reaction.
Its a bit like an anti venom to a snakes venom...without the snake
Just for you safety conscience do not introduce snakes into the workshop area
No snake were hurt in the making of this post
