Hi everybody.
Just bought a part restored e83w pick up reg No FA8253 I think its from 1946 i am a small building contractor and i want to use it for advertising and charity work etc this is my first post on this and come to think of it any forum ever! so please bear with me. I've got about a million ques but to start can anybody tell me anything about the history of my truck or where i can go to find out i'm not realy an anorack but i'm getting there

I think you might have come to the right place for info on the e83w, there are several members who have similar vehicles... not me though.

Welcome allong. I have an E83W step side steel backed pickup. What is yours, steel or wooden?
Where about have you bought it from?
Not sure on the history of yours, try the Ford Sidevalve club, but I may be able to help with questions about the actual vehicle, if you need to know anything?
