Hi everyone, I've a '54 RME and a '63 1.5. The latter I bought a couple of weeks ago and what a great car, I'm having so much fun with it. It's going to get a few modifications to brakes, suspension etc. in the coming months and the interior needs a re-trim otherwise it's in pretty good nick.
I live in Derbyshire so there are plenty of great driving roads to enjoy.
I'm a past chairman of the Riley Motor Club and edit it's magazine, website and look after the Club's archive so I guess you could say I'm hooked on Rileys. I also collect Riley automoblia, Riley models - in fact Riley anything.
Be seeing you..... |

Hi
Welcome along, I look forward to a picture or two of your motorcars.
I was wondering if you would want me to come and sit in your collection, I am "Dave Riley!" hehe (Sorry you will find out, my sense of humour is slightly strange!)
Everyone said I should have a Riley!
Cheers
Dave |

Thanks for the welcome, nice to be here.
buzzy bee: maybe you're the long lost heir to the Riley Motor Co. eh? You can sit in any time - and yes, you should have a Riley!!
pigtin: My parents live in Rochester so I visit the 'deep south' from time to time.
Bonjour Monsieur Greeney.
Rick: it may have been a different club magazine your Dad's cars were in however, the RM is a brilliant car, I really love mine.
47p2: Pics when I have the time - that's something there never seems to be enough of!!
Be seeing you... |

Welcome. I seem to recall seeing a Riley once with the number plate beginning KGB. Sort of Riley Ace of Spies. Probably only people from Great Britain will understand this. _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |

I'm old enough to remember 'Old Mother Riley' a music hall comedian, poor man's Danny la Rue... but without the innuendo. (oops! is that the right word) |

riley541, on the other hand, you could be really young not to remember Old Mother Riley and his daughter who was his wife in real life! |
