Shame the numberplate pirates got to it, but yes a very nice example. A friend of mine has 2 Mk2s for sale, one a base saloon, the other a Countryman, both very original and needing some localised tlc.

I didn't realise that the A40 went back to 1952??!! How did Ford manage to compete in those days?

I think that must be a typo - the Somerset was in production in '52.

There's one around here that I see from time to time that has flared wheelarches. I'm not sure why anybody thought that this was a good idea, because it isn't. It looks really odd. The rest of it looks fine, but improving on Farina styling is difficult.

Looks nice but quite a mixture of MkI and MkII. Sad

I think it should say 62 rather than 52 as they were produced till 58! Smile
