| o my gawd. proof positive, if needed, that some people have absolutely no business wielding tools withing 50m of a classic car. this reminds me of the sort of children who smashed Matchbox cars when they were small..... |

I must say (like Giggles) I'm confused as to why someone with the pen-name "Job Rated" wants to remove the very part that says that from his truck.

Hmmm...
Well, I didn't want any badges on the hood, so those two went.
The original plaque from the centre of the grille was split. Apparently, after the war there was a shortage of steel, so these were produced in tin plate. The following year, '53, much more metal was available & Dodge began casting them instead. I never bothered to try & source a 53 to find if it would fit.
The ideas I had for my truck did not include the central plaque, but that doesn't mean the truck isn't Job~Rated.
It had already been hot rodded so I took the whole thing a stage further & tried to make it even more subtle.
I know the truck is Job~Rated & that's all that matters.
If any prospective new owner wants to re-establish the name, I've made sure I haven't altered anything so much that it cannot happen. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!
