Looks like the time has come to sell my stock Anglia. I've had it for a few years now but it's time to move on and let someone else have as much fun as i have.
It's a 1953 Anglia (big headlights, Bakelite dash, locking boot etc)
Has 7 months tax (exempt) and MOT
It has had some kind of restoration at some point but the shell and chassis are solid. The gutters have slight rust but can be saved. I welded new bottom 'A' pillars in last winter and re-wired the whole car using a cotton braided loom from SFS. As you can see in the pics the car has indicators as the tarifficator holes have been welded up at some point. I have lowered the front slightly by reversing the eyes but otherwise the front and rear suspension is all stock.
I had the engine and box out a while back and replaced all the gaskets and painted it in the original Ford engine green. I also used stainless nuts/washers on the head as the hotrodder in me took over. The engine is the 10hp and is was a factory replacement at some point (Engine number starts RC). I have an 8hp cylinder head to up the compression which i haven't got round to fitting yet, this will go with the car. The engine runs real nice with no smoke and will go anywhere! I recently did an 80 mile round trip to the coast with no problems whatsoever. The 6v battery is almost new too.
The car comes with a box of small spares and if you don't want the reversed eye spring I'll fit an original for you. I have some door sills i bought from PPP but these will need cutting to fit. I'm sure if you were brave/stupid enough you could drive this car 100s of miles with no trouble.
I've got loads of photos of the work I've done and receipts which i cant bring myself to add up. I'm 24 and the insurance was about £74 so this would make a great starter for a younger rodder at only £1000
The only bad bits i can see is the front grill has been pushed out a bit at the top and the boot lid is someones attempt of a re-skin. The rear wings have a few dents.
Comes with the designer dust!
