Interesting to see the A40 with its toolkit (I wonder what the cooling fan is in with the tools, and not on the car?). I wouldn't mind assembling a correct toolkit for mine, I'll have to dig out the handbook and see if it lists the correct items that should be in there. It also seems to show a long wheelbrace, but no starting handle?

I had a little giggle to myself when i came across the tool kit .Seems a settled pouch but did those little grease guns ever work without getting a handfull first before entering the nipple.Getting rid of the air locks when refilling was always a problem !

Yes, I always ended up with more grease escaping than entering the push against type nipples. I now resort to unscrewing the nipple and screwing my gun into the threaded hole. Works a treat.

I hadn't realised that the round speedo dash came in with the Devon. Was that just an export feature?

Late Devons switched to all-round hydraulic brakes, column change and the Somerset-style dash shortly before production ended, all of which found their way into the replacement Somerset. Commercial A40s were different again.
