just joined the forum Very Happy . here is my 1971 portafold folding caravan that i use for my weekend breaks and summer holidays. she only weighs in at 7cwt or 350kg (depends how old you are!). mostly made of fibreglass and towed behind a modern car , you don't know it's their. all general parts are readily available , via the portafold website (www.portafold.co.uk) , the manufacturers seem to have used standard parts , for most items , mini wheels , britax lights etc.

i live in perthshire , scotland and find her ideal for touring (been to skye , thurso , inverness etc , to name a few)
will post some more pics in the caravan section later , but am enjoying reading about other people's cars , vans , caravans etc. just now

cheers gordon28

Hi gordon28 from another (former) Portafold owner - I thought the later ones had done away with the roof fins by then? or was that later when they became Ansafold (is that right??)

Hi Gordon, I must admit I didn't use it a greal deal as erindoors wasn't overly keen on camping, even for just a weekend at a show Smile but I liked it, and thought it was immeasurably better than a tent, especially if raining heavily Cool It might be worth starting a Portafold thread in fact!
