buzzy bee the ford 10 manual on the e83w i didnt think was all that good i am sure it will come up on ebay i got my copy off trade me in nz the most practical book i found was the ford 10 handbook covers general maintenance and had lots of useful information ie how to check bearings timing, fault finding etc on new vehicle running in procedure and lots more would have to be my most read manual and written in clear understandable wording.Workshop manual doesnt even cover the bodywork on the fordson just mechanicals i collect car manuals and have most early british vehicles but that little handbook is a real gem best kept secret if you ask me in nz they sell for 10-15 nz dollars.

Sorry rustyreks only just seen your post, for some reason it has not shown as a new post! Strange! Confused

I have just bought a parts list and that has loads of good exploded diagrams in it, I think it is a really good book and is going to prove to be real useful!

I have bought a workshop manual but the one that covers E83W's from 1938-1951, I think. So with mine being 1956 it is a little late but I think it is simmilar and it was only cheap!

I collect anything, including manuals but try to only buy the ones I have an interest in except if they are really cheap!

I will have to have a look for this book you recomend!

Cheers

rusty, is that the Pitmans book you're talking about thats good??

a combination of the E83W handbook and the Pitmans Ford 10 book would indeed be a good combination, although still worth getting a factory manual when you see one for the right ££

Rick that is correct the handbook is brilliant the other manual not specifically just on the fordson covers all models of ford 8 and 10 hp cars and 5cwt and 10cwt vans e83w was put out by scientific manuals revised edition 1955 there may well be a e83w manual specific to that model ford only as yet though i havent come across it only the one i have.I met a guy who had an original and it was the same as the one i have.I would have liked to get one also that covered the body work as well.

I think its the (Oz) scientific publication that buzzy found

I don't think theres a manual dedicated to the E83W only, just the factory manual that covers all upright models inc the 5cwt and 10cwt vans.

Various factory parts lists were printed, some the size of a proper manual, others the size of a handbook, the latter just containing numbers with no illustrations

Hi

I do have a couple of different books, but they would allways be willing to have a look at what you have, as you may have something differnt. A couple of mine are very poor condition wise, and one is very delicate, tidy, but I daren't use it!! hehe

Email me what you have, and are willing to part with!

Cheers
