Back in the 60s a neighbour of mine drove one of those, with his wife and teenage son, from the South Coast to Newcastle, and back.
I am still in awe of this feat, second only to crossing the Sahara on a pogo stick. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

Yesterday must have been the day for letting them out. I was at Locke Park in Barnsley and there was a red one there too! |

I suppose Newcastle was a bit rough in the 60's - especially for southerners!!

Er! I think they were visiting relatives and took the Bond to underline the 'swanky' lifestyle they were having down south. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |
