Hi
I thought this deserved a thread separate from "Seen Something Interesting.
I have been waiting to see pictures of this for some time.
I will reveal more details later, I am indebted to Mike Davies for the photos who took them at Goodwood.

Yes, I've got to hand it to you Rick. The Talbot is the closest so far.

Hmm.. That front wing sweep, that bonnet side vent, that side window? No, I think your and Penman's first choice gets my vote.
The Embiricos is a bit derivative of the Delage...

hi
OK, I will put you out of your misery.
It is a Bristol 406 chassis, haven't actually seen it yet to look underneath at the running gear but I would be surprised if it hasn't been modernised (possibly discs etc) as you can see those are standard looking Bristol wheels from the 6cyl years.
The engine is a 2 or 2.2 Bristol 6cyl which I am told has been S/charged.
I believe the body/coachwork has been done by Alpine Eagle (don't hold me to that) and the mechanics etc by Spencer Lane-Jones.
Obviously inspired, even copied from the F et F Talbot, but I just think it is so right.
Bristol could have so easily made this car if they had used F&F as a Stylist, iI feel it definitely compliments the earlier designs such as the 400 and 401/403 Aerodynes. |

It's a beautiful variation of a classic theme. I wonder how much it cost. I have to admit if I won the lottery I would be looking for an original F et F. Did you see on TV that Jules Holland had a recreation of JET 1 made at a cost of £250,000. Oh to be rich instead of cursed by dashing good looks.

Really, it's not a million miles from the 400.

Art,
I think as far as Bristol were concerned it was BMW that was the starting point...
