A friend has one of these which he dismantled with a view to restoring.

There are a few bits missing, but he says these bits can be bought new.

If anyone is interested, contact me via PM & I'll put you in touch with him to discuss price etc.

Rather than hijack this 'for sale' thread, I'll pop an update on the J40 thread over in the other collectables section shortly Smile

The wife is now in love with these. She's asked if you still have it and how much - and will a short 3 1/2 yr old still fit in it?

Jason,

I still have it sort of...It went on Ebay and sold for £415 to a guy in Belgium. He emailed saying he was coming to the UK in three weeks to collect some MG parts from someone in Birmingham called Peter and would collect the car then.
That was two weeks ago so still waiting.... Wink

To your wife's question, yes a short 3.5 year old would fit in it.....my 5 year old son has sat in it and can reach and use the pedals.

Hope this helps.

Kevin

She's excited you still have it but can't justify that amount when we have 3 kids to buy for Confused

Knowing her she'll pester me into making a replica before I know what's going on!!!

Hi

Have a look on ebay there are normally a few on there. Otherwise, my mates dad made one for my mate when he was young, but that was with a lawnmower engine, based on a much more angular car, of say the early 20's. Something I wouldn't mind trying to make someday. Easy with some sheet and rivets, or weld.

Cheers

Dave
