Took my car onto a rolling road today - after some adjustment managed to obtain 45.6 bhp at 4300 rpm with a max of 65 ft lb of torque. I am really happy with this figure as it relates well to all the period tuning figures I have seen. It was of course a little nerve wracking to see the car being driven at high revs by someone else!

Interesting, how does that compare to the standard E93A figures?

As Rick says, "interesting".

Did the 'adjustments' mean altering the standard settings?
It would be perhaps useful if you could list the adjustments and the variation from standard, which I presume you started with. And also the fuel you were using i.e. octane, leaded/unleaded etc.
