Hi, everyone!

A friend of mine has inherited an old German car - Hanomag Rekord, a 4-door sedan from 1939. It's in pretty good condition (the paint is all there, and the engine is in a serviceable state), and she wants to sell it.

I've tried looking around the web to see what price such a car could fetch, but it appears almost completely unknown. In fact, most of the sites I found concentrated on the cars from 60's and 70's, no earlier than that. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the car is currently in Russia, so would likely need to be shipped to the prospective buyer.

So, with that in mind:

1) Are there any good sites or forums which discuss pre-war cars, esp. of German manufacture?

2) Any idea how much this could fetch?

3) I'm in London, UK. Is there a club or society of classic car enthusiasts that I should talk to?

if you have any photos, by all means post them here

As for value, thats tricky, I'd be searching German websites, maybe with a view to listing it on ebay Germany (ebay.de), and see if similar cars come up for sale, and what they end up selling for. It may sell to a UK buyer, but I think there's more chance in Germany
