My 1967 mk 3 midgets fuel pump is clicking away most of the time as if it has run out of fuel, car drives ok any ideas.

Sounds like the little valves in the pump might need cleaned. It's not difficult
to do. You only need to unscrew the inlet connection boss and the filter which is 180 degrees removed from it. Just make sure you take note of the order that things come out in.

Or it might be an air leak in the pipe inside the tank so the pump is sucking air... |

how would you check for an air leak in the tank pipe? my pump doesnt suck fuel in when the car is below 1/4 |
