Hi

Related to motoring, I supose, as you could power a bicycle.

Has anyone made a jet engine, or do you call them a pulse jet?

I have just spent the last few hours reading up on them, and think it could make a good dinnertime project to do at work, instead of sitting on my bum for an hour.

I am sure I can find a mighty Turbo off a combine harvester or simmilar to give me a sizable base for the project!

Cheers

Dave

Hi
I thought the V1 was a pulse jet, you might have to get up to quite a high speed before it would fire up similar to a ram jet.

Why don't you post a link to what you have been reading or was it an analogue source (printed on paper)?

Hi

Oh, I have been reading all over the place, just searched google for jet engines, most of it is in my head now!

On most of the sites they used a leaf blower to spin the compressor, then introduce the fuel and spark, and hey presto, keep putting enough fuel in and it is self servo, runs faster and faster. I was watching a video last night on the net somewhere, and the entire engine was glowing white hot, untill it melted the compressor!

I will try to post some links when I start looking again in the week!

Cheers

Dave
