over the past year i made the decision to replace the ailing 200ci 6cyl in my 1966 Falcon Futura saloon with a 351w v8 with 4v and FMX trans. the process began mid-February in earnest and working weekends and some evenings i've gotten 90% of the job done.
it took parts from a 1971 Torino, a 1970 Cougar, and several other donors that slip my memory at this time. i had already converted the running gear last spring to v8, 5lug hardware, so further engineering was only related to installing the actual V8 and trans, which was not as simple as i would have preferred.

all it lacks now is new tyres and exhausts, and maybe a set of red-and blue Main Force Patrol stripes, as the car itself is bright Yellow.....

matter of fact i have about 3/8" of clearance to either side of the engine with stock exhaust manifolds! it does tend to fill the engine bay rather too well. sending the old girl off tomorrow for set of dual exhausts fitted, cost about $410USD to get it done. once that's done, i'll be able to run it in the drive and work out the rest of the issues.

Not by American V8 standards. It is, after all, referred to as a 'small block'.

The Falcon Futura engine bay was designed to accept the small block eight as well as the six-pot.

Send me a high-res version of that pic and I'll make it look like it was taken in 1960.
