Hi
If you can do a higher resolution scan of the photo of you on the bonnet it might be possible to ID the badge shape and then match it on this site.

Do you know if the car was contemporary to the photo date?

I know one shouldn't refer to a ladies age but when trying to date photos and cars, possibly "needs must".

It looks quite like a Clyno except that your car doesn't appear to have the
raised portion surrounding the radiator aperture.

Peter

My first thought was Clyno, too, but the radiator badge shape didn't look right. However, looking at Peter's photo, the bonnet louvres look very similar, so perhap it is a Clyno, a few year's newer than Peter's example?
From the headlamps and wing detail I would suggest arround 1928, rather than the early twenties of EH 9204

If no luck here, try sending the photo to the Automobile magazine. They have a photo section and somebody may recognise it if published.

Anyone fancy this being a Singer from about 1930? The radiator badge seems about the right shape?

Certainly another contender..

..although Singers of that era seem to like having a strut between the lamps.

Peter

p.s. According to the RAC, DX6605 is a Singer.

Well done Paul!

Yup, that looks right. If you look closely at the valence across the bottom of the radiator, they match. Most of the other details look the same, too, in which case we are looking at a mid-20s car, so not the Junior, and it looks a bit big to be the Singer 9 which preceeded the Junior. So my guess is a 12hp, circa 1924-6.
Thinking about it, the Nine had 1/4-elliptic front springs, so definitely not one of those.
