The old rubber and windscreen out..
I had to remove a lot of very very hard putty and silicone sealent..
New rubber in..just the "chrome" insert strip to fit..
New rad in place..and working well..
Got rid of the wire supporting the rear of the exhaust..now has a proper rubber hanger..
Bodywork next! _________________ Rust Junky & oil addict. |

Getting along nicely then, I too have to go and buy a new radiator cap, had kept the old one but on closer inspection I doubt it will make it for much longer!!
Still have to fit the chrome insert strip in the windscreens'rubber front and back too!!
However cant remember were I put the rear corner chrome inserts!!!! |

You know you can buy a tool to do this..my advice is buy it if you have one of the re-manufactured rubbers and a new strip!
I have never struggled so hard to fit a chrome strip..all i can say is that i'm glad i hadn't just sprayed the car! _________________ Rust Junky & oil addict. |
