I was sent this badge, with a request to see if I could identify it.
Pretty sure its off the A90 Atlantic, but was it also used on any other Austins of that era??
info that came with the pic:
"I don't know too much about the badge itself. Its 70mm by 30mm (or 1" by 3" if you still use real measurements!). It has a slight curve to it, hence the assumption that it's from either bonnet or radiator grille. The quality of the enamel work is absolutely superb....British Craftmanship at its best without doubt!
I've had it for around 30 years - it was part of a collection of memorabilia
and nostalgic bric-a-brac given to me by my grandfather. Incidentally, the last car He owned was the Austin version of a Mini van, (ex-Lancashire
Constabulary)....and before that, an A40 in bright red with matt black roof, I still have the flying A from that somewhere. Anyway, before I drift off into nostalgia again, have a look at the picture and see if you pin this item down."
