Yep that 1500 looks tidy. Surely that vinyl roof isn't standard?
An immaculate H reg MkII Cortina, in Lotus colours but a four-door, came past my house yesterday. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Did you happen to note the details please Rick? |
I took a photo of the tel. no. in the window of the Wolseley if you want it, but to be honest it wasn't particularly good - it'd had a rattle-can respray, quite a bit of bubbling and filler in evidence, rusty sills, the seats were poor, overall quite a tired example.

I was out in the Alvis on wednesday and got some smiles and a wave from a couple in a mint morris minor only half a mile from our house.
there seems to be a lot of classic cars coming out of garages around here at the moment, monday, I saw an old austin mini and a jawett javelin that belongs to a lad that I went to school with.

I was travelling through Barnston, which is near Great Dunmow, North Essex today when I took a wrong turning and ended up having to turn round in a narrow country lane. I reversed into someone's driveway to turn round and noticed it was full of old cars - I could see about eight 1100/1300's and four Minis.

Thanks
There were indeed some gems among that lot, the black Riley Kestral XNX 67H is still insured and I guessed that one was on the road as it looked very smart, the 1100 at the far end of the track by the garage was a pre-1963 example ***HNX I recall, and I think the red 1100 to the left of that one might have just been a 1300 GT
I reckon there might well be more cars in those garages as well _________________ Richard Hughes |

Just think what must be in the garages then!
(Probably washing machines and old push bikes) LOL _________________ Keef - Sheerness Kent UK
