Hi Peter
Reading through your other posts i can see you really like this technical stuff, so just for you....
I paraphrase a bit
" The drag coefficient Cp proved to be 0.39 with the intake flap open and 0.365 with the flap closed"
'It is interesting to note that closing the intake flap reduces the drag coefficient by 6.5%. Thus the total power requirement at 100 mph can be reduced by 3.4%"

Thanks Brian,
I guess you must have seen my power requirement graphs for various SS/Jaguar models based on basic rolling resistance and drag equations..

Hi Thought you might like to see some of the progress made on my 541 lump. It's been slow progress as there has been too much house painting to do!!

I know it sounds naive, but is that 'cooling fins system' on the bottom of the block part of the sump? I say this as I've never seen anything quite like it before.

I asked one of the 541 owners at Gawsworth if they were original on the engine as bought in from Austin and he said they are. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Dave | The MGA Twin Cam has some very similar fins on its alloy sump. |

Hi Brian,
Clearly lots of good progress and a very professional looking presentation but in writing the title for "The Points System" I think you must have been looking forward to a section on the Breathalyser.

Hi Peter
Thanks for the kind words. I'm very pleased with progress on both the car and the website. BTW wasn't there a similar scheme north of the border called "Dram Logic"?
Best Wishes
