Hi
I actually revisited my childhood last saturday evening, on the Dogems, quite good fun, but alot smaller than I remembered, also the ruddy car I was in, packed up, so I had to change mid race. hehe I could cardly fit in the car!
Anyone else have had a simmilar experience recently?
Cheers

Not car related, but a year or two ago I visited this scene of a significant part of my mis-spent youth:

Back in my student days, this was a Teacher Training College for young ladies, and was situated in the wilds of Yorkshire in the mistaken belief that the remote location would keep their charges safe from predatory engineering students . I went to quite a few 'do's' there but hadn't realised it had those beautiful gardens as I never actually saw the place in daylight
BTW, I did take my wife there on that acccassion and she was amused

In a little way I did that this evening, seeing Ernie again took me back to when I was 18 (gulp), first spotting him sat lonely in a Welsh field

Due to a motorcycle accident in 1976 I lost my memory but ocassionaly I have "flash backs". I was working on the Morris 8 and I sat in the back seat, in my minds eye I was a very young child and I had a strong sense of it being really dark and cold. I reckon my parents must have had an 8 or similar. Street lighting must have been much dimmer in the early 60s. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1
