Hallo, this is my first post! Why do I want to get involved with Watching Classics? Because I seem to see them all the time. My family are constantly alarmed at how much I seem to know about what's happening in the opposite lane to the one we're travelling in! It's actually an important part of driving isn't it? To know what's going on around you?
Being a person of advancing years, and loving motor sport of all types, I enjoy cars full stop. My next-door-neighbour on one side down here in Sussex has a Morgan, Derby Bentley and 2CV and on the other side there's a Morris Minor. Elsewhere in the village are a couple of E-types, at least two Alvises and various others.
My latest 'spot' on the way back from Gatwick yesterday was a twenties three litre Bentley being driven in the rain with the hood down. I see that a similar car is being sold by Bonhams at the Beaulieu autojumble with an estimate of £180-220,000, so well done the owners for getting it out and driving it come rain or shine.
More to come, as ever. I just need to get some pics... |

Welcome Robert, it is good to hear from you. I am sure you will find quite a lot to keep you interested and sometimes amused. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1
