I suspect you are right Jockey - I saw something uncannily similar some 30 years ago near Shrewsbury which had been the estate Shepherds hut for living in use mainly at lambing time. That had a similar roof and wheels plus just as much rot. I found out later it had been burnt and the metal sent for scrap. A roller van is certainly a possibilty as well. _________________ Jonathan Butler

Hi, if this is a shepherd's hut its the biggest one i have ever seen !
Granted this van is of simple construction, but note the wheels and axles are of an old farm trailer, the originals probably rotting away years ago,
if you look at the pic of the door the dividing wall for the bedroom is just visible,no working van would have a bedroom let alone a full length mollycroft roof, i have posted a pic of a restored van, this is a plain simple van with no cut glass or gilding not all showman's vans where gilded palace's

I made out that I was interested and asked for some more photo's to be sent to my email address.
One thing that caught my eye was the axles... They've come off a chain driven vehicle...
This is what I got.>>

How very interesting! We seem to have the axles and probably the chassis remains (see front dumb irons) of an early commercial.
I wonder what it was? Any experts who can identify the wheels on here perhaps or do any of you commercial types know anybody. _________________ Jonathan Butler
