This has just been posted on the Thanetclassics forums.
Just thought I'd bring it over.
I have asked for more details and contact number if anyone is interested.

Copy and pasted quote:
Have been approached by someone who has inherited a Rover P4 80. I know nothing about the car other than having seen it around and having spoken briefly to the now deceased former owner. You may have seen it around, reg was UJG 1 (not included). I understand it is in running order (or was until recently). It is offered for spares or restoration. No price given but I believe they are thinking around £2-300.

No use to me, but if anyone is interested let me know and I will pass on contact details.

Andy

Roger

PS I'll check if that 2 to 300 or 2,300

2-3K for spares restoration, sounds alot to me for a p4 80 Maybe it is better than I imagine, but when I hear spares or restoration...

Maybe this is me being tight again, hehe I would be buying it for less though, only spend my pennies on what I call good deals though, Wink

£200-£300 sounds a bargain for a P4 - assuming it's not completely rotten.

Jammy devil
Looks like this was a real lucky find, so far.

Anyone know where he can find original tools for the tool tray?
Or do you have any for sale?

Roger

Does look like a good 'un doesn't it, I was assuming that for 2-300 quid it'd have been a bit of a shed/parts donor only!

Keeping my ear to the ground locally as there is a 96 year old gentleman somewhere in the village, and the daughter won't say.
He has a pair of Triumphs that have not been driven further than out of the garage for about 7 years
One is an 1800 roadster and the other is a Gloria and he won't part with them.
Mind you I don't think they'll be as cheap a find as the Rover.
I'll see if I can get her to get some photos.

Two days work.
Car almost looks new.

There are still some good finds about, right place right time applies.

Can't believe how good the car looks for £300.

Teach me to be so slow.
