What tools spanners etc do you buy. I find that Facom or Britool are about the best value for money. We distribute Sealey catalogues and their stuff is rubbish. It is very difficult now to buy new Imperial sizes. Its nearly all metric. Sad

Hi

I had the excellent advice to buy a set of cheap tools, when you break them, replace with better quality ones, that way you only spend sizeable money on the tolls you use, in the ag game I break lots of tools! hehe

I buy alot of tools through work, as we get huge discounts, so really any tools that look good, and have a lifetime garentee, will do for me. I see no point in buying the named brands when less well known names offer a lifetime garentee for half the price. We have had a bit of Facom stuff in the past, and that was ok, bar the ratchets, they seemed to be replaced alot. The odd bit of teng, only as it was cheap, and that seemed to last well.

In addition to that I also buy lots of second hand stuff, I get quite a lot of Britool second hand, and Kamassa, king dick, snail etc. and also will have anything that is free, skips still show up lots of valubles, I found a good haul only today in a skip, hammers, spanners, files, spring compressors, the list goes on.....

The other thing is dear tools seem to atract unwelcome attention, and then you risk them spotting other things in your posesion...

Cheers

Dave
