|
|
Someone contacted me as he needs to find a replacement wheel to match this one:
-----------------------
"I need some help please.
The pic below shows one of a pair of wheels fitted to what look like
a 1 on off boat trailer build.
The brake drum and bearing housing is a single machined casting
typical of Ford/Volvo items from the 1950s/early 1960s. The brake
back plate is that typical of a rear axle fitting with an aperture
for a cable/handbrake actuator.
The state of the wheel is such that the original markings are no
longer visible without blasting back and then perhaps doubtful.
I have looked and looked on the web without success - plenty of 8
hole wheels but no 9 holers.
Please, if you or any of your associates can help identify what this
is from then it would be very much appreciated as 1 of the rims ought
to be replaced."
Does anyone recognise it? I did wonder about BMC 1100 or 1300, are they on 13" rims??

Looks vaguely like Reliant Regal, but not sure about the offset.
What is the PCD and offset? |

Looks to me like a wheel from a Morris 1100 Mk2. The early models did not have the holes. |

Surely ADO16 had 12" wheels didn't it.
If those are 13" then my guess would be Marina. |

Austin/ Morris 1300 I'm almost sure
Mother had one and I am sure they were like that.
Also googling 'Austin morris 1300 wheels' look the same and are 9 hole rims with bulging wheel trims.
And as Richard says, were are you Keef
