My Grandfather had a Pilot Panther of the late 50's early 60's. Sadly my parents sold it when he died. Even back then when I was in my 20's I dearly wanted to keep it, but didnt have anywhere to put it. But I can remember vividly the fantastic oak interior and the trip the family made when we were invited for a tour of the factory when Grandad ordered the Panther. We were taken all over the works and given the chance to see the caravans being made. Then Grandad was asked what he wanted for the interior and there were a myrid of options and you could even ask for anything outside the normal spec and they would do it for you. Ahhh happy days, long gone. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

That sounds fantastic. I have not established the age of this one yet but I believe it to be 50's. It has loose seating that turns to beds. When I say loose I mean that the seating is not fixed to the walls. Its a high spec interior though the outside shape is more functional than pretty! I think it is 22ft! |
