Well it only made £21165.00,it must have been the colour.
I thought it might make more, these cars do look nice if the colour is right,we have one of these in our local club,it is in mint condition and finished in a lovely two tone green if I am not mistaken.
I took the Hillman Minx out for a spin today,it does everything I ask of it,a perfect daily driver.

| Only made £21165, how much would it have fetched in a better colour? |

I knew I should not have had that laser tratment done. ha ha
I put an extra "1" in there somwhere.
As you say £2165.00. But I am still sure with a better colour it would have have fetched over £2500.00.
I have a Hillman Minx series v finished in Sherwood Green with a lovely light green interior, the contours of the bodywork against the chrome looks a lot more classy somehow.

| I really like that colour, I think the automatic gearbox and the lack of MOT counted against it more than anything. |

These guys do have a bit of neck with their prices.
I sold a Morris Minor Traveller for £4,100,it ended up on their website for £7,000.
Mind you it was listed as sold within 3 days.
We should have gone halves on this singer gazelle ,then listed it on here for a bargain £6,000.

Ah, but what a dealer asks and what he gets are two different issues. I once managed a 39% discount with a classic car dealer using folding pictures of Good Queen Bess 2. as an incentive |
