TR4 from 1993, being resprayed now.
Westminster from 1994
Triumph 2000 Mk1 from 1999
Sunbeam Chamois Mk2 from 1999
Jensen Interceptor Mk1 from 2002
Brother has a 2000 Mk1 which I owned around 1984, saved it from the scrapyard. Sold to a schoolmate. In 2001, brother asked me to find a Mk1 and I found it again. He drove t for a year, it is now still stored in a shed.
Friend had a Minc 3C (round roof) from 1972-98, I drove and liked it a lot, perfect lines, he sold it to a another friend, I bought it from him in 2001. Drove it for a few years and although it is a nice car, not really for me so it's in the shed (market value is too low to sell).
Still missing the Herald 1200 I owned from 1986 - 1994, and the 69 Chamois owned from 1983 and scrapped in 1994 (too far gone).

| We've had our Morris Mini Moke for 29 years now. It's a cracking little car but somehow doesn't get the use it should even though I've been retired for 16 months now. Just too busy in the workshop I suppose! |

| Both since last year, the '57 Wolseley 1500 in June and the '64 Cambridge was an unexpected purchase in December. As soon as I saw the mileage, history and how original it was it just had to be bought. |

Well, I purchased my 1929 Austin 16/6 back in June 1962 (£35 seeing as you ask!) - So that makes it 49 years. A few weeks ago the chap who sold it to me paid me a visit to see his old car again. He now lives in Chicago, and was on a visit to the UK.
Cheers. Jim Stringer. |

That is easy, I remember it as yesterday.
I bought my 1966 Volvo 122 Sport 14 / 4 / 1978.
It was a one owner car, imported from USA, when he moved to Denmark in 1968.
My Green Mini was bought by my late Father 16 / 12 / 1978.
I still own both cars.

I've owned my Jaguar Mark 2 3.4litre since May 1991, the longest I have ever owned a car.
The Series 2a Land Rover I've owned since March 2005 and the Series 1 86" is a very recent addition - last January (2011).
All this seems of no consequence at all compared with the gentleman I met at the Betws y Coed Classic Car show this August who proudly informed me that he was the only the second owner from new of a beige Rover P 2/3? drophead.
I also know of a one owner + son of a 1955 Land Rover series 1 86". _________________ Starting Handle Expert

I bought my 1964 Rambler Classic 660 on the 16th March 1965
and still with me. Have hardly used it and only had a new set of tyres and a respray done in 1980. Still has the original exhaust system.

I tend to do them up and sell them at a loss for some weird reason.
Owners of older cars tend to really nut and bolt restore them while us "moderns" tend to get them looking not too bad and getting an MOT.

I will combine those 2 "types, of collectors" when/if ? I get my new project
it will stay unrestored, with just enough work, so it can be returned safely on the road.

We have had our '57 Chevrolet for 16 years now, but sadly don't use it a great deal now due its fuel consumption on the country roads where I live (12/13 mpg) plus octane booster per tankful.
That said I do try to get to local shows, but long distance shows like Grampian Transport Museum for example we go to in our daily drivers now because of the sheer cost of fuel running a 300hp V8 on a 320 miles round trip. (Approx. £160 inc. 2 x octane booster. ) |
