Rick, isn't it time that you admit to liking Detroit Iron, as well as Light Comms? Laughing

BB: Took erindoors to a stock car meeting a couple of years back, Very close racing and quite entertaining. The classic banger racing <shudder> that followed it was lousy, and didn't qualify as motorsport in any shape or form. Autograss appeals too, never been to an event though

UJ: I do like some US iron yes! was talking this over with 'the boss' the other evening, and I decided that I'd buy something from the late 20s through to the early 50s, then I skip a couple of generations, to the late 60s and the Camaro which I do like Cool Can't say I know much about American motors, but I'd possibly buy something from these eras, if I could ££run to it !

But back to racing, anyone else like the historics races? will try and get to Oulton Park this year for the Gold Cup re-run, missed it in 2006 but have been in earlier years. One year Jackie Stewart called in by helicopter, jumped into one of his old Tyrrells and did a lap that would have qualified him in 4th for the F1 / F5000 race. With just him on track for his demo run you could hear him around the entire circuit - Ford DFV heaven Cool

Hi

I am not keen on bangers or destruction derbys, but stockcars are good, I will have to let you know when there is a good meeting on, and you will have to come allong!

One the autograss note, my mate has just purchased a new class one mini, which is nearly ready to race and should be competive, also he has got a new fireblade engine to get his class ten back on the track, twin fireblade, chain driven!

Will let you know when there is racing on at whitchurch!

Cheers

Dave
