I remember buying a set of these back in the early 1980's for a Mk1 Cortina. Not seen any for years and years now.
Try ringing Grayston, they may have some old ones in stock? _________________

I remember years ago you could buy rubber spring assisters that went between axle and chassis in place of the standard bump stops.
They still advertise them on various Anmerican web sites but it looks as though its just another thing that we can't make over here. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |

They are called AEON springs - now readily available here:
http://www.timbren.com/index.htm - in Canada.
As baconsdozen pointed out, "years ago" they were quite common in accessory shops in the UK. I'll bet there's a stash around somewhere! _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net

I have a set in my garage, apparently for a Marina but not sure if they are universal. Interested? _________________ 2013 Dodge Durango R/T Hemi

oddly enough I found a coupl of the old AEON type rubber springs the other day by the side of the road. They are cylindrical about seven inches tall. They look like originally they were stuck to a flat plate, but have a hle through them that maybe a bolt passed through to anchor them.
I might have a go one day to see if I can use them on the back of my old transit or something. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |
