My memory may be playing tricks on me, but 30-odd years ago, before the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club was formed, I thought there were two existing Jaguar clubs?

Obviously the Jaguar Drivers' Club, but I also thought there was another (smaller) club that was mainly interested in motorsports. Was it the Jaguar Car Club? Was it disbanded? Or is my memory playing up again?

Rose Eaton, one of the founding members, told me they had wound up the JCC Peter. The club was, like the JEC, an offshoot of the JDC which was originally the only marque club in the UK. It was founded when the jDC decided to discontinue their support for racing.

similarly there is the FJDC in France, which once was a register of the JDC but which split away to form its own club.
